STRUCTURE OF WORK OF LAND REFORM BRANCH:

The implementation of The Maharashtra Agricultural Land Ceiling Act 1961, The Hyderabad Tenancy Act 1950, The section of 36 & 36A of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code 1966 Clause I.

The execution of above law includes the following work.

1) To run the statutory cases under section 8, 50B, 98, 98(C), 99 of the Hyderabad Tenancy Law 1950 & predetermination and distribution of surplus ceiling area as per the The Maharashtra Agricultural land ceiling Act 1961   

2) To give permission to sale the land from one scheduled tribe occupant to another scheduled tribe occupant as per  the section of 36 and 36A of the M.LR.C.1966 part I 

3) According to section 29 of the Maharashtra Agricultural Land ceiling Act 1961 give sanction to sale , exchange of ceiling land. 

4) To achieve the target given by the Government for time to time distribution of surplus ceiling land to landless.

B) INFORMATION :-

As per the occupants record on 7/12 in Hingoli Districts the following statistical information is available.

i) Registered Tenants as per section 38 E of Hyderabad Tenancy Law 1950 - 1,899

ii) Registered Ceiling Area Allottees - 1,026 

iii) Scheduled Tribes Occupants - 517

The above occupants are restricted to sale exchange, gift their agricultural land without  previous sanction of the competent authority of land reform section. Restricted Tenure is written on 7/12 of above occupants. As per Land Ceiling Act 1961 Tenancy Law and the section 36 and 36 A of MLRC 1966 Part I near about 80 cases are decided in the year 2003-2005.
